This simple, refreshing dip is great for chopped vegetable sticks, tortilla chips, blue corn chips, crackers or anything else your taste buds desire! What’s really nice about this recipe is that it has far fewer calories and more nutrients than your traditional sour cream-based dip. The Greek yogurt provides healthy fats, as does the almonds, while the freshly chopped garlic provides anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective effects. The garlic and chili powder add a “kick” to this dip, so if you’d prefer a more somber version, skip these ingredients. Bon appetit!
- ½ cup (6 oz) plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2-3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- Pinch of chili powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon crushed almonds (optional)
- Mix all ingredients in medium-sized bowl
- Chill for 2-3 hours
- Serve with fresh vegetables (I used celery, carrot and red bell pepper; can also use carrots, broccoli, etc.) or blue chips or tortilla chips
- ENJOY!!
